Ever since the start of the Mega Sale promotion, Epic has been giving away a series of premium video games every week for free. Despite the Mega Sale coming to an end earlier this week, the blockbuster game giveaways are continuing, as Epic makes Wipeout-inspired racing game Redout 2 available for free – no strings attached. All you’ve got to do is visit the Epic Games Store, login to your account, head over to the Redout 2 page, and redeem the game free of charge. It couldn’t be more simple. Once you’ve redeemed Redout 2, it’s yours to download and keep forever. Needless to say, this offer won’t be around forever, so you’ll need to act fast in order to avoid missing out.

The Redout 2 free game giveaway runs from now until 4pm BST UK time on June 20.

It will be replaced by colourful puzzle game Freshly Toasted, which sees players place conveyer belts to solve puzzles in a donut factory.

As for Redout 2, the game is described as the fastest racer in the galaxy, featuring futuristic anti-gravity vehicles.

“Redout 2 is a tribute to classic arcade racing games and the sequel to the critically acclaimed Redout, where racing through the dystopian wastelands of a semi-abandoned Earth is one of the galaxy’s most popular sports,” reads the official description.

“Reach impossible speeds in exhilarating futuristic races across an extensive single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer.

“Deep control systems, robust hovership customisation and a killer soundtrack make Redout 2 the premier anti-gravity racer.”

As you can see from the description above, the main draw for solo players is the Career mode, which contains hundreds of events spread across 36 race courses. As an added bonus, all courses are reversible.

Events include classic Arena races and Time Attack modes, to elimination-style Last Man Standing battles and even boss races.

Needless to say, Redout 2 also supports online multiplayer, where 12 players can battle it out at any given time.

Elsewhere, an extensive customisation system lets users choose from 12 different chassis, as well as various wings, engines, stabilisers and colour schemes.

With Nintendo ignoring the pleas of F-Zero fans and Wipeout something of a distant memory, Redout 2 might be the best futuristic racer on the market right now, so make sure you don’t miss out.
