Rane Holdings Ltd has injected ₹50 crore into its wholly owned subsidiary Rane Steering Systems Private Ltd (RSSL) through a rights issue of equity shares completed on August 19, 2025.

RSSL allotted 20 lakh equity shares of ₹10 each at an issue price of ₹250 per share, including a premium of ₹240. The Chennai-based auto components company maintains complete ownership of RSSL following the transaction, with no change in shareholding percentage.

The investment aims to meet RSSL’s operational and capital expenditure requirements while enabling the subsidiary to pursue growth opportunities. RSSL, incorporated in March 1995, specialises in manufacturing steering columns and reported a turnover of ₹1,706.33 crore for the financial year ending March 2025.

The subsidiary’s paid-up share capital has increased from ₹17.90 crore to ₹19.90 crore post-issue. RSSL’s revenue performance over the past three years shows ₹1,510.34 crore in 2023, ₹1,718.73 crore in 2024, and ₹1,706.33 crore in 2025.

Rane Holdings informed stock exchanges BSE and NSE about the transaction under SEBI listing regulations. The company emphasised that the transaction was conducted at arm’s length based on a registered valuer’s report, despite being a related party transaction due to the subsidiary relationship.

The shares of Rane Holdings Ltd ended today on the NSE at ₹1,472.80 up ₹4.30 or 0.29 per cent.
