This tiny change in how you organise your bedding is revolutionary – it might seem small but it makes a huge difference.
The hack has been shown online with many online cleaning social media accounts sharing the lifechanging tip with their followers.
It’s the type of change that makes so much sense, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it before.
When you are putting away your bedding, you might usually fold the pillow cases, duvet cover, sheets and put them in a pile on top of each other in your cupboard.
But instead, you should fold the matching items and put them inside one of the pillow cases – this way you won’t have to rummage through other items in your linen cupboard to find the matching set if the cupboard doesn’t stay neat.
Home influencer, Mrs Hinch has shared the tip to her 4.8 million followers and even Kirstie Allsopp has approved the home hack.
Organising your bedding in this way will stop matching sets from getting lost and it will save you time when you come to look for the set you want.
You can also store a tumble drying air freshener sheet in the packed bedding which will mean your sheets are smelling fresh when you come to change your bed.
Some social media users have referred to the trick as a “pillow parcel” as this way of storing your bedding can look slightly like a parcel when it is bundled up and stored away.
Before you organise your cupboard in this new way, one of the best things to do is declutter everything you have in their first.
Take everything out of the cupboard and organise all bed sets into piles. Once you’ve done this you can clean the inside of the cupboard, maybe even hang up an air freshener in there and then you can begin folding your pillow parcels.
You can now line them all up in your cupboard and next time you go to change your bed, it will be quick and easy – you won’t have to spend any time looking for matching pillow cases or rummaging around for your fitted sheet.
You definitely won’t be able to go back to old ways once you start doing this.
